These percentages range from 1 to 14. Solar shade fabric is generally available in 3 levels of openness.

A 10 open only blocks 90. These shades come without cords making them child and pet safe. Open fabrics also let more light into the room. This 1 openness solar shade is designed with added privacy in mind compared to the other openness percentages and it provides a high uv blockage figure of 99.

It will be faint though and you will not have as clear a view as you get from shades with higher openness percentages. Low openness percentage 1 5 solar shades with such openness will allow for most light to be blocked from coming in but they will still allow a minimum level of the outside view. Our 1 solar shades come equipped with a sewn in bottom rail but can be upgraded to an exposed or fabric wrapped bottom rail for an even more customized look and feel. Manufactured with ease of fabrication in mind this collection is a full basket weave of vinyl coated fiberglass yarn and are designed expressly for applications.

Solar shades come in different levels of opacity varying from 14 1 openness. A 1 open solar shade will block 99 of the light and damaging uv rays. The premium solar shades are a high end designer collection of solar roller shades and are certified by the greenguard environmental institute. A 1 shade will block 99 of the uv rays while a 14 will block 86 and so on the lower the percentage the tighter the weave and the less light will be let through.

With solar shades you can still see out of the window but the glare and blinding sun will be filtered making for a much more pleasurable outlook. Fabrics with lower percentages feature a tighter weave while fabrics with higher percentages have a more open weave. Premium solar shades 1 percent openness receive the greatest insulation and sunlight protection of all our premium solar shades. You will be able to see movement and shapes.
