Much depends on what your intended use for the shed actually is. A pitch of 2 12 is the minimum pitch for shingles made of asphalt so your roof just barely makes the cut off for one of the most popular roofing material options. Many shingle manufacturers recommend no less than 2 12 when installing. Many roof material manufacturers have minimum pitch ratings for their products.

Resilient asphalt shingles lie much flatter to the substrate than slate tile and concrete which keeps water from being easily blown under them. The reason for this is that flat or shallow roofs withstand much more abuse and loads than steeper roofs making wider shed roof rafters a necessity. Therefore if your roof rises 4 inches over the course of 12 inches of horizontal run then your roof pitch is 4 12. If you are only trying to keep a wood pile dry or storing a few outdoor tools and light machinery out of the weather then you might consider a simple single pitch roof since most everything inside will be stored at ground level and pulled out from the outside of the shed.
